Yard Coordinator

Location: Jonesboro, GA

Status: Hourly, Non-Exempt, Full-time

Overview:

Responsible for organizing, tracking, stationing, and retrieving inventory at the Jonesboro, GA yard. Operates heavy equipment when necessary to move/load barrier wall and other inventory. Ensures all inventory is counted and easily retrieved when necessary. Practices safe work practices at all times; the position may work nights/weekends when required to meet customer needs.

Daily Duties:

• Manages yard inventory and maintains related database/tracking systems.
• Coordinates and schedules the movement of products throughout the yard including storage and retrieval of barrier wall, paint, parts, equipment, and other goods.
• Implements daily production and shipping plan, arranging for excess stock to be stored.
• Confirms availability of items to be retrieved for use on various projects by verifying inventory records or conducting inventories of required items.
• Operates forklift, loader, or other equipment as needed.
• Documents all related activities and completes forms and reports.
• Performs manual labor other related duties as directed.
• Always make safety a priority.
• Comply with OSHA safety laws and regulations.

Position Requirements:

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Attention to detail and advanced organizational skills.
• Ability to routinely lift up to 50 lbs.; outside exposure in a variety of weather conditions (heat, cold, wind, rain).
• Ability to work independently, as well as within a cross-functional team environment.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to solve practical problems, make logical decisions, and communicate ideas.

• Coordinate the use of hands, arms, and legs fully. Reach for the handle and use it to manipulate objects and materials.

• Vision – the ability to see details at close range and details at a distance (either naturally or with correction).
• Regularly lift and /or move up to 50 pounds. Frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
• Mental and visual attention is necessary to effectively complete work tasks.

Environmental Conditions

• Work outside and be exposed to the weather.
• Wear protective or safety equipment, i.e. safety boots/shoes, glasses, gloves, hearing protection, hard hats, etc.
• May be exposed to high levels of noise, grease, dust, and a variety of substances that are typically associated with a construction site.
