Job Description Summary:

This position isresponsible fortacking and fitting fabricated steel structures per blueprints with limited supervision. This position applies trade skills to a wide variety of welding jobs on ferrous and nonferrous metals. This position will report directly to the Weld Manager. This position will work a schedule of Monday through Thursday, 5:00 pm to 3:00 am.

Duties and Responsibilities:

The duties and responsibilities of the Weld Associate IIwill consist of, but are not limited to, the following:

• Weld steel parts in a jig fixture
• Read blueprints and communicate with co-workers
• Set up, run, and operate machinery
• Count and maintain accurate tracking system
• Report any equipment issues to department lead
• Perform periodic quality checks
• Complete all welding tasks on time
• All other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• Work Experience:6 months of prior MIG welding experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
• Education:High School Diploma
• Computer Skills:Basic computer skills necessary
• Organization Skills: Maintain clean and organized work space
• Cross-functional skills: Ability to work and handle multiple job assignments
• Communication Skills: Ability to communicate within a team setting
• Physical, Mental and Visual Skills:Ability to lift, bend, and twist throughout the workday; will be required to lift between 50 to 75 pounds; familiar with welding symbols
• Physical Environment: Fast-pacedmanufacturing environment

Preferred Requirements:

• Education: Technical Diploma in Welding
