$28.00 to $29.50 per hour

GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB: The Quality Control Technician is responsible for the testing
to specification of all batches produced in the Factory and selected incoming raw materials for
conformance to specification. It is also the responsibility of the Quality Control Technician to
keep all Laboratory instruments in working order and report any deviation to the Quality Control
Manager.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Perform all routine tests on production batches as specified in the formula and in
accordance with quality control lab procedures.
• Record test results into a database.
• Adjust batches as necessary to meet specifications. Report large or unusual deviations to
Product Development laboratory before adjustments are made.
• Approve color matches and approve batches for filling,
• File the batch information and draw downs from completed production.
• Test incoming raw materials in accordance with Dunn-Edwards specifications.
• Report rejection of incoming raw materials to the Quality Control Manager.
• Keep all Quality Control Laboratory records up to date.
• File retains.
• Perform such routine or non-routine tasks as may be assigned.
• Maintain the organization and cleanliness of the workspaces within the quality control lab
including floors, counters, and work in process.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: There are no subordinate supervisors reporting to this
job. There are no subordinate personnel reporting to this job.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or general education degree
(QED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of
education and experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating
and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and
correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of
organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of
measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio,
and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
REASONING ABILITY: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out
instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving
several concrete variables in standardized situations.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: Six Sigma Yellow Belt, Green Belt, or Black
Belt preferred.

• Health & Safety Training:
‒ HMIS Training (i.e., Hazard Communication: 29 CFR 1910.1200 and GISO 5194).
‒ Personal Protective Equipment (i.e., Level A through D: GISO 3382, 3384 and 3385).
‒ Emergency Response & Evacuation (i.e. ., 29 CFR 1910.120 and GISO 5192).
