Current is seeking a Project Engineer Coordinator to join our progressive and dynamic fast-paced enterprise and device product design team. These are exciting times - our industry and user expectations are changing and so are we! We are developing the next generation of world class Internet of Things (IoT) devices and controls. This is a hands-on role that will directly support new and sustaining product implementation. You will be part of our fast-growing innovative technology design center located in Round Rock, TX, a hi-tech hub north of Austin.
We are looking for a talented Project Engineer Coordinator to coordinate and/or execute new and sustaining product project activities like but not limited to prototype development, regulatory certifications, BOM creation, engineering change, building pilots, and handover to operations. This involves working closely with the product design, operation, product management, and supply management teams. Project engineer will also help in coordinating local design center facility maintenance and team activities.
This position is expected to be 100% on-site.
Essential Functions
- Assist in developing NPI (New Project Introduction) and Sustaining Project plans.
- Participate in and support Team Scrums, Standup meetings, and scheduled Management reviews.
- Share Project details with operations and supply management personnel
- Support & coordinate Engineering changes & implementation
- Provide latest design files to Engineering Teams at operational sites.
- Support BOM creation including but not limited to loading to SAP and auditing for accuracy.
- Maintain materials which include Images for labeling and alternate components and or materials.
- Manage POs and requests in support of prototypes and other engineering activities.
- Assist in loading engineering drawings in SAP for release.
- Assist with and coordinate regulatory certifications.
- Assist with Firmware and Software Engineering Releases
- Serve as Project point of contact for our internal operations and contract manufacturing sites.
- Work with Operations to address requested changes for product and process improvements.
- Support alternate component requests and review with engineering.
- Assist in coordinating local design center facility maintenance and team activities.
Basic Qualifications
- 3-year college or bachelor’s in engineering
- Minimum 3-years’ experience in supporting engineering teams for product development and sustaining.
- Minimum 3-years’ experience with project management and engineering change activities.
- Minimum 3-years’ experience working with operations and supply management teams.
- Minimum 3-year relevant experience working with SAP – BOM, engineering drawings, etc.
Preferred Qualifications
- Process automation – SAP, BOM, PO requests,
- Planning and tracking project and design center activities.
Position Criteria
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently or team environment.
Compensation
The position has a compensation package inclusive of base, bonus (if eligible), benefits, 401k contribution, time off, recognition awards and more. This salary range is $60,000-$75,000.
