Job Overview:

We are seeking compassionate individuals to join our home team as Direct Support Professional to work with our children. As a Direct Support Professional, you will provide essential care and support to individuals in need, promoting their well-being and independence. Hours will be flexible with typically 4-10 evenings 3-4 days per week & 1-2- 10 hour weekend afternoon/evenings.

Duties:

- Assist individuals with daily living activities such as personal hygiene, meal preparation, and household tasks

- Provide emotional support and companionship

- Administer medication under supervision

- Implement care plans tailored to individual needs

- Ensure the safety and comfort of residents

- Maintain documentation of care provided

Requirements:

- Experience or interest in home care, senior care, dementia care, or caregiving

- Knowledge of resident rights and patient care practices

- Ability to clean and maintain a safe living environment

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills

- Empathy and patience in dealing with individuals with diverse needs

- Willingness to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team

Preferred Skills:

- Background in nursing or social work is a plus
