Job Description

CuriRx is seeking an ambitious go-getter with top notch communication skills and a desire to jump start a Business Development (Sales and Marketing) career at a fast-growing CRO/CDMO in the hot Boston biopharma industry. The Business Development (Sales and Marketing) role, will work closely with the CEO on all levels of a Business Development - Sales and marketing support, including market research, forecasting, writing proposals, and building relationships with clients and prospective clients. The right candidate will be a quick-thinking fast learner who is not afraid of going above and beyond the job description.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Become well-versed in CuriRx’s service offerings to drive sales prospecting and delivering the corporate sales pitch.
  • Identify, qualify, and cultivate new sales opportunities through multiple channels (email, phone, trade shows, inbound website leads, networking etc).
  • Manage all respective sales activities (notes, follow-ups, emails, call logs).
  • Respond to inquiries via email, incoming and outbound calls.
  • Achieve aggressive weekly targets, e.g., number of qualified opportunities per campaign, number of calls, call quality, successfully booked appointments.
  • Facilitate client meetings—in person and/or via teleconference.
  • Prepare, write, and finalize proposals in response to requests from clients and prospective clients.
  • Deliver sales presentations/proposals to prospective clients with a successful closing rate.
  • Evaluate existing accounts and maintain client long-lasting relationships.
  • Analyze the market to identify customer needs.
  • Conceive and run sales/marketing and advertising campaigns.
  • Analyze market trends, sales and marketing metrics, as well as pricing strategies to identify ways to improve sales and marketing efforts.
  • Strategies marketing efforts, including social media.
  • Utilize social media platforms to garner customer interest and create brand awareness.
  • Maintaining an accurate record of past campaign results to determine the most effective marketing approaches.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s in Business, Marketing, Communications, Biochemistry, or other related field.
  • Proven experience working in sales and marketing.
  • 1-2 years of experience in the pharmaceutical and/or biotech industries is preferred.
  • Familiarity with CROs and CDMOs is a plus.
  • Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications.
  • Sound knowledge of sales and marketing metrics.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Exceptional customer service skills.

Pay: $90,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
