The Material Planning Analyst assists the supply chain department under the direction of the Director of Supply Chain, as well as helping to manage other duties related to procurement of indirect supply items. This role primarily oversees the material releases, delivery issues that may impact production scheduling, and vendor relationships.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

DIRECT PROCUREMENT:

• Analyzing manufacturing, enterprise resource planning, and other material requirements based on demand and component replenishment.
• Create and expedite purchase orders as required to meet customer and business demand.
• Provide updated shipping details to stakeholders as requested; continuously improve methodology on how to deliver this information to the organization through technology solutions.
• Resolving scheduling, material requirements, or business system problems with cross-functional representatives.
• Assist with the development of dashboards to track KPIs showing daily, weekly or monthly supply chain performance.
• Ensure accurate database maintenance of lead times, EOQ, bracket pricing, & minimum order quantities.
• Provide forecast visibility to internal stakeholders for production planning purposes.
• Monitor inventory levels to avoid stock outs or excess inventory.
• Work with key stakeholders in obsolete warehouse removal.
• Escalate material risks as necessary to Director of Supply Chain, Production Manager and Operations.
• Identify cost savings opportunities.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Responsible for helping others and providing on-the-job training or guidance.

Education and Experience:

Associates or Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, supply chain or any analytical field or equivalent years of experience.

Other Qualifications:

• 2 years of experience in supply chain, purchasing, and strategic sourcing for a manufacturing company.
• Strong business acumen around procurement, inventory, and supply chain management.
• Solid operations, supply chain and/or manufacturing background.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience working with planning systems and knowledge of ERP systems.
• Ability to work on a cross functional team and influence outside lines of report structure.
• Proven track record of meeting or exceeding business KPIs.
• Experience and proficiency in how to extract and manipulate data from an ERP system.
• Strong communications skills, self-motivated, self-starter and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Exceptional organization skills and ability to use Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel and Power Point).
