Position Overview

The Extraction Technician II supports the Extraction department in daily activities for oil extraction and product production in a laboratory environment. This position reports to the Extraction Laboratory Manager.

Responsibilities

• Operation and maintenance of Thar supercritical fluid extraction equipment
  • Data recording related to operation of extraction equipment in lab management system 

• Performs chemical procedures required of the Extraction Laboratory including:
  • Decarboxylation
  • Terpene collection and separation
  • Thermal degradation
  • Crude/Distillate orders
  • Oil order prep for chew infusion
  • Winterization/Reclaim Collection 

• Assists in other laboratory tasks as directed by the Extraction Laboratory Manager including:
• Maintaining Quality and Compliance Documentation in a cGMP environment
• Perform 5S assignments to maintain a safe and clean workplace
• Use equipment and instruments in a safe manner according to standard operating procedures
• Perform equipment preventative maintenance tasks as assigned and outlined in SOP’s
• Perform scale verification checks according to methods and frequency outlined in product specifications and SOP’s.
• End of shift cleanup: Including, but not limited to, mopping floors, wiping tables, cleaning utensils and other dishes and taking out trash.
• Able to work overtime as required
• Comply with all HR policies including confidentiality and non-disclosure 

Qualifications and Skills

Required:

• 1-year experience in CO2 and/or hydrocarbon extraction
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
