POSITION DETAILS
Reporting to the Executive Director, Human Resources, the Human Resources Coordinator (Adjunct/Faculty) facilitates the onboarding of faculty and instructional candidates for hire into perspective roles within the campus. The Human Resources Coordinator (Adjunct/Faculty) is responsible for understanding and adhering to College and CUNY policy, and for facilitating and coordinating perspective employment search committees and participating in special projects and initiatives.
The Human Resources Coordinator (Adjunct/Faculty) will perform the following duties:
Participates and facilitates the active recruiting, hiring and onboarding of FT Instructional and PT teaching and non-instructional individuals into adjunct/faculty positions within Bronx Community College.
Efficiently tracks and monitors the applicant onboarding process from first contact through commencement of employment
Works closely with the Office of Academic Affairs Leadership and Staff, as well as other campus stakeholders, with vacancy's within their classification and need
Coordinate HR processes with Academic and various other departments and Central Payroll
Posts open vacancies, and processing new hire paperwork and facilitating background checks.
Facilitates all personnel actions for new and returning adjunct /faculty hires, salary increases, new hire onboarding, and various other status and payroll changes
Provides information as needed on adjunct/faculty policy, practice and procedure
Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree required. Concentration in Human Resources preferred
Knowledge of HR Technology
Ability to interact with faculty and staff in a cooperative and collaborative manner
Proven experience leading and managing recruitment processes within a campus environment within education preferred
A strong work ethic and character with a high degree of personal integrity to work with the utmost discretion
Must have excellent oral and written communication skills
Demonstrated organizational ability and superior interpersonal skills with the ability to provide excellent customer
service within a multicultural community are preferred.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and safeguard employee information, and handle all documents with sensitivity is a must
Proficiency in MS Excel and MS Word is required. Knowledge of CUNYFirst, Microsoft Teams preferred

Maintains an understanding of policies, procedures, regulations, and collective bargaining agreements relevant to human resources
Organizes and processes employee information; develops and maintains reports and queries; assures data accuracy and completeness
Responds to requests for information; troubleshoots issues, follows up and responds to employee inquiries
Assists HR managers with employee communications of all kinds; may prepare materials, conduct orientation sessions, or update web pages
Performs related duties as assigned.

Salary commensurate with education and experience. $68,245 - $70,451
