Veterinary Technician:
Cumberland Veterinary Clinic, located in Enola, PA, is in search of a full time veterinary technician.
CVC opened in November of 2021 and is 100% family owned with no corporate partners. Our facility is completely remodeled with all new equipment. A unique feature of CVC is the range of animals treated, including dogs, cats, birds, rabbits, reptiles, sheep, goats, chickens, and potbellied pigs.

Qualifications:
- Licensed veterinary technicians preferred but will also consider unlicensed technicians depending on experience
- At least 1 year of experience working in veterinary or animal related fields preferred, although new graduates will be considered
- Must possess excellent communication skills
- Must be a team player with a positive attitude
- Must be compassionate towards both pets and clients
Duties and Skills include, but are not limited to:
- Obtaining patient histories from clients
- Entering detailed patient notes into the computer
- Obtaining patient vital signs including heart rates, respiratory rates, and temperatures
- Performing patient restraint on dogs and cats; experience restraining birds, reptiles, and pocket pets preferred
- Performing and/or assisting with IV catheterization
- Performing and/or assisting with venipuncture, radiology, ultrasonography, cystocentesis, and thoracocentesis
- Administering anesthetic drugs and monitoring anesthesia
- Assisting in surgical procedures and the preparation of surgical equipment and supplies
- Perform laboratory testing
- Helping to keep the facilities clean and tidy
