**Must have: Current certification as a Speech and Language Pathologist by the Rhode Island Department of EducationThe Cumberland School Department is looking for a Speech/Language Therapist as an independent contractor to provide approximately 18 hrs./week of services as part of Extended School Year. The ESY program starts July 8, 2024 and runs through August 8, 2024. This assignment will likely entail providing speech and language services to students grades K-12 . All classrooms are scheduled to be housed at Garvin Elementary School.Compensation amounts to $45/hr.Applicants must possess Rhode Island Department of Education Certification as a Speech and Language Pathologist, have private professional liability insurance, and obtain a background check (unless you have one that is less than a year old). Certification of Clinical Competence is highly preferred. Unfortunately we cannot consider applicants with only Department of Health certification or Speech and Language Pathologist—Assistant status.
