Cumberland County is Hiring a Multimedia Content Specialist POS # 101060018 Near Fayetteville, NC
Are you passionate about storytelling and multimedia creation? We're seeking a dynamic individual to join our team as the Multimedia Content Specialist for Cumberland County's digital platforms! As the key liaison between departments and our website, Intranet, and various multimedia channels, you'll have the exciting opportunity to shape our online presence and engage our audience, as well as create and edit original video content to help convey critical information to the county’s residents in a dynamic way!
Captures, processes and edits video content from County events and departments for distribution through the County’s television channel, website, social media and other channels. Processes video content for inclusion on the County’s television channel
Serves as the primary contact for content on the organization’s website and employee Intranet
Works with County departments and management to develop, update and maintain content for the internet and Intranet portals, forms, and structures in accordance with the organization’s needs
Ensures compliance with organization policies, procedures, and ethical standards regarding website design and use
Provides guidance and recommendations as necessary to produce professional and relevant website content
Works with departments to address accessibility and ADA compliance issues on website
Ensures all applicable state and federal laws and regulations including data security, privacy, and intellectual property laws are followed
Assists with production of regular Board of Commissioners meetings and serves as backup production manager for County’s television channel
Works with the Communication and Outreach Coordinators to assist in maintaining updated and relevant content on the county television channel, CCNCTV
Offers technical assistance, training and consultation to multimedia content contributors and other County staff to ensure their messages and initiatives most fully impact their target audiences
Provides basic assistance to employees related to the use and maintenance of the website(s) through one-on-one support, user guides, and training sessions
Collaborates with Innovation & Technology Services to collect and analyze web analytics and similar data; adjusts content routinely to market all aspects of county government services and needs; ensures content is relevant, accurate, and current
Graduation from an accredited two-year college or technical school with a degree in Computer Information Technology with course work in advertising and video creation or related field and three (3) years of experience managing website content and video content; or equivalent education and experience.

Management Preference: Experience withSitefinity Content Management System and Cablecast Broadcasting system is preferred.
Negative drug screen and background check are required.
Knowledge of video collection, processing, and editing
Knowledge of website content management, analytics, design, and best practices and standards
Knowledge of or ability to quickly learn web content management systems, applications, and tools used by the organization
Skilled in verbal and written communication
Skilled with Microsoft Office Suite and related software
Ability to maintain effective working relationships with officials, management, department heads, and other employees
Ability to audit and regularly review existing website, employee Intranet, CCNCTV television channel, and other multimedia content to ensure information is timely and effective, reworking content as needed to improve the end user’s experience
Ability to ensure websites and CCNCTV television channel are updated as needed during emergencies and at other times
