IN-STORE TRAINER

Reports to General Manager and Training Coordinator

JOB SUMMARY

Conducts station training of new hires and cross-training of existing team members effectively, ensuring the company mission is attained.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

1. Effectively trains team members to ensure that every guest who chooses Culver’s leaves happy.

2. Thoroughly reviews position responsibilities with trainees emphasizing key points so each team member has a clear understanding of position expectations.

3. Trains and demonstrates proper personal hygiene and food safety practices.

4. Trains team members to accurately complete the Quality Control/Safe Food Checklist and Product Rotation Reports.

5. Follows company safety standards at all times and looks out for the safety of other team members and guests.

6. Demonstrates positive and effective role modeling for all team members through appearance and attitude.

7. Provides effective feedback to the training coordinator on new team members.

8. Assists in communicating information to the team on all policy and procedure updates or changes as directed by the training coordinator and general manager.

9. Assists trainee on a position when necessary to meet service time goals.

10. Trains team members to handle guest comments promptly and courteously.

11. Maintains a neat, well-groomed uniformed appearance consistently, according to system standards.

12. Follows restaurant policies consistently.

13. Attends all team member meetings.

QUALIFICATIONS

Ability to foster and encourage open communication, teamwork and cooperation. Employed six months at Culver’s. Good understanding of proper procedures and sanitation skills. Certified in the In-Store Trainer Workbook on positions prior to training. Certified in a national food safety program. Reading and writing skills required
