Culver Pediatrics Center is Hiring a Medical Office Assistant Near Culver, IN

Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Medical Office Assistant to join our team. As a Medical Office Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing administrative support and delivering exceptional patient care. Responsibilities:
- Manage virtual lobby and front desk, ensuring a warm and welcoming atmosphere

-Manage files, faxes, and non-medical messages
- Schedule appointments and manage the appointment calendar efficiently
- Assist with patient registration and onboarding, including verifying insurance information and collecting necessary documents
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records using electronic medical record systems

-Inventory and supply ordering

-Coordinate Prior Authorizations and Insurance Appeals
- Coordinate referrals to specialists and follow-up appointments as needed
- Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries in a professional and timely manner
- Handle sensitive patient information with confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations

- Organizing the office and maintaining a pristine clinical environment

Experience:
- Previous experience working in a medical office or healthcare setting preferred
- Familiarity with pediatrics and holistic wellness preferred
- Knowledge of medical terminology, referrals, and prior authorizations
- Proficiency in using electronic medical record systems and other digital platforms
- Excellent customer service skills
