We build communities from the inside out through community engagement and action, workforce development, and housing.

About Workforce Initiative: 

Workforce is the umbrella department for the Intern program, Beautification, Property Stewardship and Mobile Shower and Hygiene Response teams. These teams provide supportive workplace opportunities and are mostly made up of people with lived experience with homelessness and/or other marginalized groups. 

Compensation/Benefits

• $26-28 per hour based on experience.

Accountability:

• Accountable to Workforce Director

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Maintain and communicate schedules of Property Stewardship projects
• Answer phone and email inquiries about property stewardship jobs, services etc.
• Assist Workforce Director with property stewardship billing, marketing, and record keeping.
• Act as back up for Intern Coordinator for intern payouts and management
• Data entry into HMIS/Apricot database for all Workforce programs, as requested by management.
• May participate in special projects and activities as assigned by the Program Managers or Director
• May perform other duties as requested by WF Director

Requirements: 

• Experience working with individuals and communities experiencing poverty and homelessness
• Being physically present in the CI offices from 8:30am-4:30pm, Monday- Friday
• Attending the 8:30 am morning meeting and 4pm afternoon meeting and discussing the job sites each team will be servicing that day.
• Must be able to provide proof of COVID-19 vaccination
• Obtain a drivers license within one year of holding the position. 

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to sit, stand or walk for prolonged periods, and ability to stoop and kneel occasionally
• Ability to speak and hear to use telephone
• Ability to effectively use computer, lift paper and files
