As a lifeguard, you'll be responsible for monitoring water activities, enforcing pool rules, and responding swiftly and effectively to any emergencies or incidents that may arise. Your keen observation skills, strong swimming abilities, and quick decision-making will be essential in maintaining a safe environment for all pool users. Additionally, you'll provide exceptional customer service, assist with pool maintenance tasks, and participate in ongoing training to enhance your skills. What You'll Do:

• Dive into action as you supervise, assist, and instruct members and guests in the safe and appropriate usage of aquatic facilities.
• Ensure the safety of all individuals by overseeing and managing all risks in the aquatic area, enforcing rules and regulations, and managing conflicts when necessary.
• Be prepared to respond swiftly and effectively to emergency situations by following established safety and rescue guidelines, including performing lifeguard, CPR/AED, and first aid skills at a proficient level.
• Keep the aquatic area clean and well-maintained to provide a safe and enjoyable experience for all members and guests.
• Stay informed about classes, activities, and special events at the center, providing helpful information and assistance to members and guests.
• Provide exceptional service with a friendly and helpful attitude, helping to build long-term relationships with members and guests.
• Embrace opportunities to contribute to the overall success of our aquatic area by performing any other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Education: Preferred high school diploma.
• Certifications: Current lifeguard certification (American Red Cross or Ellis & Associates), CPR/AED certification, and First Aid certification.
• Experience: Previous work with the public; lifeguarding experience preferred.
• Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Ability to carry out instructions, strong communication and interpersonal skills, ability to enforce rules and regulations, ability to manage conflict.
