Job Summary:
Analyzes medical records to assign appropriate diagnosis codes following coding guidelines, analyzes medical records to assign appropriate procedure codes following coding guidelines, performs analysis of medical records to perform medical record abstraction, assists in the hospital revenue cycle.

Requirements:
Education:
Completion of a Medical Coding program through an accredited Health Information Technology Program and currently hold (or eligible to obtain) a Certified Coding Associate (CCA), Certified Coding Specialist (CCS), Registered Health Information Tech (RHIT), Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) certificate.
Experience: 0-1 Year
Additional Skills / Abilities:
Strong analytical and computer skills, ability to multi-task, detail oriented, excellent oral and written communication skills, working knowledge of medical terminology and pharmacology.
