CTW Home Collection is Hiring a Product Designer Near Greensboro, NC

Product Designer

The Product Designer is a key member of the Creative Team and is responsible for designing and rendering new and original home décor designs. The Product Designer will work closely with others to translate market trends into new product designs that meet customer expectations of quality and value. The candidate needs to be a self-starter with a strong work ethic. Flexibility, creativity, and enthusiasm are a key part of this role.

The selected individual will be responsible for, but not limited to:

- Create new designs of home goods, develop new ideas and explore new product categories.

- Creating POS packaging for each design. Every item needs to be ready to be displayed in a high volume capacity.

- Ensure designs are balanced in style, function, construction, and cost.

- Main focus is to render, create, design, and style new home goods items including accessories, furniture, and textiles.

- Drawing to scale projects for vendors with specs, measurements, and details for quoting and sampling.

- Study and follow market trends for style and color in the home goods market.

- Assist in new product planning and strategies.

- Responsible for selection of colors, hardware, wood and metal finishes and other design details for each product.

- Possible domestic and international travel to visit trade fairs for exploring trends and design opportunities.

- Plan and help implement the layout and décor of showrooms for the presentation of newly developed products for market showing.

- Additional special projects and assignments as directed.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in Design or related design field.

- 3 years proven experience as a designer.

- Experience with POS packaging and product packaging.

- Proficiency in software such as Adobe Creative Cloud including Photoshop and Illustrator; MS Office.

- Proficiency in communicating via drawing and illustration, verbal presentation, email, conferencing, and phone.

- Must take ownership of projects and possess impeccable follow-through.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
