Conduct academic, training device, and UAS live flying instruction in support of formal course syllabi, training plans, event instructor guides and Continuation Training (CT).
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Aviation or related field.
Training and Experience: Have 1000 hours total pilot flying time (not including SUPT time) of which 150 hours are in the Primary Aircraft of Instruction (PAI) (not including “other” time); or have 550 total pilot flying time (not including SUPT time) of which 300 hours are in the PAS (not including “other” time). Rated military pilot or holds a FAA Commercial Instrument Pilot rating. MQ-1/9 pilot time counts towards fulfilling the 1000/500 flying hour requirements. Pass and maintain FAA Class II flight physical requirements. Must complete a formal basic academic instructor course within 6 months after start of training as an instructor. Completion of the Air Combat Command Classroom Instructor Course or MAJCOM equivalent satisfies the CRI requirement. All Instructor Pilot (IP) candidates will meet AFI 11-MQ-1/9, Volume 1, Chapter 2, and Instructor Pilot Prerequisites prior to certification as a MQ-1/9 IP.
General Skills: Must be able to handle multiple tasks, a self-starter, flexible in work assignments, detail oriented, highly organized, possess good interpersonal and written communication skills, and work under limited supervision.
Computer Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Desired Experience: Previous MQ-1/9 Pilot Instructor preferred.
Security Clearance: Current security clearance of “Secret” or above.
