Position Summary
The Engineering Intern position will shadow other Engineers and provide design support and input to the
team during product development activities. This will include 3D modeling and drawing, part inspection
and measurement, and prototyping and testing new designs. The position will report directly to the lead
mechanical design engineer but will also assist the lead electrical engineer as well as the technical
services team as requirements dictate.
Responsibilities
• Installing and monitoring test systems, including assembly and setup beforehand and teardown and
inspection after completion.
• Writing up test reports detailing results and findings.
• Creating 3D models and associated drawings in support of lead design engineer and
manufacturing team.
• Participating in design meetings and reviews and providing input to product design.
• Inspecting and dispositioning prototype and production parts to ordering documents.
• Perform other duties as needed
Knowledge & Skills
• Strong electro-mechanical design, prototyping, and test experience
• Strong SolidWorks modeling and drawing experience
• Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
• Eagerness to learn new things and tackle new projects and ideas
Experience
• 2 years of education-based experience
Education
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent) study in process
Location: Boise, ID
Other Requirements
• Physical- This position operates both in a professional office environment and in an engineering
lab environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment as well as hand and powertools.
