Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) Manager

The PLS Manager will manage all survey operations throughout the state, perform assignments designed to develop professional knowledge and abilities, requiring the application of standard techniques, procedures, and criteria in carrying out a sequence of related land surveying tasks. This role involves cultivating client relationships, budget, scheduling, overseeing project scope, coordinating with project team members, and providing instruction to survey team members.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Performs all Professional Land Surveying responsibilities
• Handles all project team operations both in-field and in-office
• Manages client expectations and deliverables
• Responsible for proposal writings, budgets, and costs management
• Reviews and stamps final drawings submitted by other team members
• Implements operations and deliverables in accordance with State, Local, and industry standards
• Plans, schedules, conducts or coordinates detailed phases of all aspects of the survey department
• Leadership of direct reports, including yearly personnel reviews

Minimum Qualifications

• Current Registered Professional Land Surveyor in the State of Louisiana
• 8 years’ experience in surveying and project management
• Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving history
• Must be in good standing with the Louisiana Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors Board
