Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Debt Collector to join our team. As a Debt Collector, you will be responsible for managing and collecting outstanding debts from our clients. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Attendance is essential for being successful and meeting goals.
Duties:
- Contacting debtors via phone, email, or mail to collect outstanding debts
- Negotiating payment plans and settlements with debtors
- Updating and maintaining accurate records of all collection activities
- Investigating and resolving discrepancies in accounts
- Providing excellent customer service and addressing debtor inquiries or concerns
- Collaborating with internal teams to ensure timely debt recovery
- Following all applicable laws and regulations related to debt collection practices
Experience:
To be successful in this role, you should have the following qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Debt Collector or similar role
- Strong account analysis and reconciliation skills
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle difficult conversations professionally
- Proficient in debits, credits, and basic math calculations
