About CSL: CSL provides summer to international students, combining educational travel with interactive exploration. We host students from Asia, Europe, and South America (aged 11-17) giving them the opportunity to improve their language skills, learn about American culture, and take part in educational activities.

Job Title: Counselor

Job Description: The Counselors are responsible for leading and implementing programs and experiences for students in groups, ensuring students’ general safety, development, growth, and skill achievement through in-class and outdoor activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Facilitate workshop based classes and travel with groups of 11 to 17 year old students on excursions during the weeks of July 9-July 16 while in the Washington DC area.
• Provide assistance with students’ arrival and departure including helping during the check-in and checkout process of their dorm accommodation.
• Ensure students have a positive experience, through dynamic interaction, care provision, and timely troubleshooting whenever needed.

Requirements

• Anticipate, prevent and deal with unexpected circumstances/students behavioral patterns
• Lead an assigned group of 8-12 students
• Facilitate workshops and monitor students.
• High sense of responsibility
• Excellent communication skills
• Flexibility/adaptability

Compensation and Perks

• Full room and board coverage while camp is in session
• Free access to all sites visited while on excursions
• Free ground transportation (within and throughout camp)
• $600per week
