Job Title: Vice President of Field Services
Summary: We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced VP of Field Services to oversee all aspects of our energy services business. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient execution of repair & maintenance scopes, of energy producing assets, in accordance with company standards and industry regulations. The VP of Field Services will lead a team of Project Managers, resource managers, field technicians and administrative staff, manage service contracts, assume full P&L responsibility, and drives continuous improvement initiatives to business performance. In addition to leading the above internal teams, this role will be responsible for leading customer interactions as it pertains to work execution, issue resolution, change order management as well as cash collection.
Responsibilities:
1. Develop and implement service strategies to maximize the availability and performance of energy producing assets.
2. Lead and mentor a team of managers and service technicians, providing training, guidance, and support to ensure safe, high-quality service delivery.
3. Manage service contracts with customers, ensuring compliance with terms and conditions, and timely resolution of service requests.
4. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to resource utilization, financial performance, safety and quality, and take corrective actions as needed.
5. Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, sales, operations, and procurement, to support service activities and drive continuous improvement.
6. Conduct regular site visits to audit team performance to established standards, identify customer needs, and ensure adherence to safety protocols and regulations.
7. Collaborate with vendors and suppliers to source spare parts, equipment, and tools, and negotiate favorable terms to support service operations.
8. Stay current on industry trends, best practices, and technological advancements in energy service and incorporate relevant innovations into service operations.
9. Prepare reports, presentations, financial report out, and budget proposals for senior management to communicate service performance, challenges, and opportunities for improvement.
10. Foster a culture of safety, teamwork, and customer focus within the service team to achieve operational excellence and customer satisfaction.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, business, or a related field.
2. At least 7-10 years of experience in energy asset service, maintenance, or operations, with a proven track record of leadership and project management.
3. Strong technical knowledge of energy producing systems, components, and maintenance procedures.
4. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
5. Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate teams, set priorities, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
6. Proficiency in project management tools, data analysis software, and Microsoft Office.
7. Willingness and ability to travel regularly to job sites, as well as customer HQ offices.
Working Conditions:
Lifting, carrying, reaching, pushing, and/or pulling; climbing and balancing; frequent stooping, kneeling, crouching, and/or crawling; and significant finger dexterity necessary. • Requires passing a pre-employment background check and drug screen • This position is exposed to work near moving mechanical parts, and moderate noise levels. • Requires working and driving outdoors in various climates/temperatures and the possibility of sitting for an extended period
