As the Admissions Coordinator, you will manage the facility’s referrals and admission process and provide potential patients and family members with facility-related information via facility tours, personal visits/assessments, conversations and follow-up. You will make regular contact with referral sources to develop and maintain good business relationships and ensure appropriate admission papers and signatures are obtained from residents or responsible parties prior to admission. You will attend community marketing events and health fair screenings. You will also serve as a concierge to patients and family members to ensure all patient needs are being met.
Education/Experience:
Two (2) years equivalent experience in a sales/marketing or admissions position preferred
Previous health care community relations experience preferred
Effective presentation skills preferred
Strong organizational skills
Knowledge of, or ability to learn, reimbursement program from payer sources
Ability to communicate professionally and effectively both orally and in written form
Excellent computer skills
Working knowledge of Federal and state regulations and reimbursement (Managed Care, Medicare and Medicaid).
