General Summary:

Performs a variety of material handling duties including, but not limited to moving, prepping, counting and packaging material safely and efficiently while maintaining high quality standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Locates and identifies the correct material to be prepped or packaged according to the schedule or other designated reports.
• Responsible to deliver material using an industrial lift from storage or work area to the correct staging area to be prepped, packaged or put into production.
• Reports any concerns to lead such as quality concerns.
• Transfers material from packaging area to appropriate warehouse location and maintain inventory data in computer systems.
• Pulls customer supply orders by: receiving the daily schedule, pulling the material from the warehouse, tag and stage for production.
• Ensures warehouse, packaging, and shipping/receiving areas are accessible and safe for employee and customer traffic by maintaining a clean work area at all times.
• Establishes efficient work flow based on product and task.
• Follows safe warehousing practices when storing material.
• Safely operates industrial equipment which may include: a forklift, four-directional lift, two-directional lift, Combi lift, Drexel, and/or overhead crane.
• Operates small hand tools including, but not limited to a drill, punch, screwdriver, and/or chop saw as necessary.
• Efficiently uses supplies and notifies the correct person when supplies run low.
• Properly wears required Personal Protective Equipment.
• Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Desired Minimum Qualifications:

• Knowledge of warehouse and packaging standards normally acquired through six (6) months of experience in similar position.
• Previous experience operating a forklift, four directional lift, and overhead crane.
• Ability to read and count is required.
• Previous experience with small hand tools is beneficial.
• Ability to work in a team or independently.
