CRYSTAL CREAMERY IS CURRENTLY LOOKING FOR PLANT MAINTENCE MECHANICS FOR OUR MODESTO PLANT 

We are looking for some great Plant Maintenance Mechanics for our Plant in Modesto. Pay based on experience from $28.00 to $ 32.00 a hour plus Employer Paid Medical benefits at 100% for you and your family. 

Crystal Creamery is currently hiring a Plant Maintenance Mechanic with an aptitude in controls and electrical knowledge for our Modesto Manufacturing Facility. This position is responsible for the care and maintenance of all property and production assets in a safe, sanitary, and efficient condition. The Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for staying up to date on new products, equipment, technology, and techniques.

Requirements

· Troubleshoot, operate, maintain, calibrate, and repair various types of electronic, electric, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment.

· Test, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain equipment and systems throughout the facility.

· Perform routine and major maintenance on filling, packaging and associated auxiliary equipment.

· Maintain power, process controls, electrical equipment, and control equipment.

· Assemble, install, test, and maintain instrumentation, electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, apparatuses, and fixtures, using hand and power tools.

· Diagnose malfunctioning systems, equipment and components using test equipment and hand tools to locate the cause of the breakdown and correct the problem.

· Connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers, or other components.

· Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustments or repair, and to ensure compliance with codes.

· Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment and fixtures using testing devices such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, and frequency generators.

· Understand and maintain equipment documentation (blueprints, schematics, line diagrams, technical manuals, operation manuals) and serve as the facility technical resource in their review and use.

· Other tasks as required.

· Ensure operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing maintenance requirements (both planned and unplanned) on production, packaging, processing equipment, and utility systems (to provide a continuous supply of heat, steam, cooling, electrical, power, gas, or air required for operations).

· Inspect on a routine basis, the facility’s electrical equipment, wiring, fixtures, and other components to ensure they remain functional and are up to code, as well as to identify any hazards or issues.

· Repair electrical systems, wiring, circuit breakers, equipment, and other components so that they remain at full functioning capacity.

· Determine the reasons for any malfunctions of systems or components and create a maintenance or repair plan to solve the problem.

· Complete work orders in a timely manner maintaining high quality standards.

· Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment in performing duties.

· Maintain communication with other departments, management and employees and notify them of any problems and/or concerns that may restrict the efficiency of production.

· Ensure all paperwork is filled out in a clear, legible, and accurate format, and completed with required information. Ensure all required information is documented in accordance with SOP’s.

· Utilizing continuous improvement mindset, assisting in identifying opportunities to improve processes.

· Follow Good Manufacturing Practices.

· Maintain a clean, sanitary, and safe work area.

· Follow all required work safe practices. This would include lockout-tagout requirements and wearing of all required PPE in designated areas, confined space safety, safe chemical handling, fall restraints, etc.

· Responsible for food safety, prerequisite programs, and food quality related to designated area.

· Report any food safety and food quality related issues to management immediately.

· Perform other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements:

· High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.

· Must have 3 to 5 years’ relevant experience in Fluid Manufacturing.

· Formal Engineering/Maintenance Training desired

· Experience with one or more technical experiences: Electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electronic, computer-controlled equipment, PLC, and HVAC

· Experience with a variety of equipment including lubricating, cleaning, material handling, motor control, relay control, process control and packaging equipment.

· Professional experience with ammonia refrigeration systems preferred.

· Ability to inspect equipment, recognize potential problems and independently take appropriate corrective action to prevent component failures or equipment down time.

· Must be able to stand, walk, kneel and bend required for virtually the entire shift.

· Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.

· Must be able to work in a wet environment with moderate to high noise volume.

· Must be willing to work flexible hours including overtime, weekends, and holidays.

· Be able to effectively work in a team environment.

· Effective verbal and written communication skills.

· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

· Must be able to pass all pre-employment screens (including drug, background, and criminal checks).
