Job Description:

Position Title:SENIOR PROJECT MANAGER

Position Type: FULL TIME

Department: OPERATIONS

Reports to:INTERIM CHIEF OPERATING OFFICER

Position Summary

The Sr. Project Manager will play a pivotal role in planning, executing, and delivering projects within scope, timeline, and budget across Operations projects. This role requires strong leadership skills, excellent communication, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Principle Responsibilities

  • Project Planning: Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to define project scope, goals, and deliverables. Develop detailed project plans, including tasks, timelines, resources, and budgets.
  • Resource Management: Allocate resources efficiently and effectively to ensure project tasks are completed on schedule. Monitor resource utilization and make adjustments as needed.
  • Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies. Monitor and manage project risks throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and motivate cross-functional project teams, ensuring clarity of roles and responsibilities. Foster a collaborative and productive team environment.
  • Communication: Facilitate clear and consistent communication among team members, stakeholders, and clients. Provide regular project status updates and reports to key stakeholders.
  • Budget Oversight: Manage assigned project budgets, monitor expenses, and track financial metrics. Ensure projects are delivered within budgetary constraints.
  • Change Management: Proactively manage changes in project scope, schedule, or objectives. Evaluate the impact of changes and communicate adjustments to stakeholders.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including project plans, requirements, meeting minutes, and other relevant records.

Minimum Qualifications

Education, Training, and Traits

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and prioritization skills.
  • Strong leadership and team-building capabilities.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in project management tools and software.
  • Some familiarity with project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall).
  • Problem-solving aptitude and a proactive attitude.
  • PMP or other project management certification is a plus!

Work Experience

  • Proven experience as a Project Manager, with a track record of successfully delivering projects on time and within budget.

Work Environment:Work will be performed in an office environment and in museum spaces. The noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate. Reasonable accommodations may be reviewed and evaluated in the case of exhibitions exceeding noise levels. Some overnight travel may be necessary.
