Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Painter/ Drywall Hanger to join the Cryptic Handyman Services (L.L.C) team as a Subcontractor. As a Drywall Hanger and Painter, you will be responsible for installing drywall panels and ensuring they are properly aligned and secured. This is a hands-on role that requires attention to detail and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:
- Measure and cut drywall panels to fit specific dimensions
- Install drywall panels using screws or nails
- Ensure proper alignment and positioning of drywall panels
- Apply joint compound and tape to seal joints and create a smooth surface
- Sand, smooth, and finish drywall surfaces
- Repair or replace damaged or cracked drywall panels

-Ensure safe working procedures during all duties to minimize hazards.

-Cover exposed objects and surfaces with drop cloths or masking tape and paper to prevent paint exposure

-Estimate and Communicate Material Requirements to the Project Lead.

-Clean and Prepare surfaces prior to painting.Including repair and patching of walls, sanding down surfaces and other prep tasks as required.

-Mixing Paint, Matching paint color and tone, Thinning paint and working with stain and other materials as required.

-Applying paint, varnish, finish, stain or other material in a clean and timely manner.

- Clean work area and dispose of debris properly

Skills:
To be successful as a Painter/ Drywall Hanger, you should have the following skills:
- Construction painting: Knowledge of painting techniques and ability to apply paint to drywall surfaces.
- Masonry: Familiarity with masonry work, such as bricklaying or block laying, to ensure proper installation of drywall panels.
- Caulking: Proficiency in applying caulk to seal gaps between drywall panels and other surfaces.
- Airless paint spraying: Experience using airless paint sprayers to efficiently apply paint or texture coatings on drywall surfaces.
- Metal stud framing: Familiarity with metal stud framing techniques for installing drywall in commercial or industrial settings.
- Carpenter: Basic carpentry skills for framing walls, installing doors, and performing other related tasks.
- Door hanging: Proficiency in hanging doors on frames and ensuring proper alignment and functionality.
- Trim carpentry: Knowledge of trim carpentry techniques for installing baseboards, crown molding, and other decorative elements.

-Knowledge of Handtools and other painting equipment and skill to use them properly

Note: This is a paid position and compensation will be discussed during the interview process as it is a pay per project position.
