Job Description
We’re looking for a hard-working, self-starter to serve as our Project Field Manager who is interested in ever-advancing security installation technology. You will work on meaningful and mission-critical projects to protect our customer’s employees, property, and assets.
Responsibilities:
- Regional project responsibility for all aspects of Field installation work to include Intrusion, access control, CCTV and fire alarm systems.
- Conduct job site surveys and prepare the equipment and resource requirements on a per project basis
- Determine manpower requirements and develop operational plans to meet retrofit job completion timelines and site turn-up. Coordinate third-party subcontractors as needed
- Meet with developers and general contractors as needed to determine resource needs to execute jobs on the customers required new construction timelines
- Work with the regional supervisor to hire, train and assist install technicians in pursuit of their career development progression
- Ensure all work is completed to National/Local electric codes
- Perform quality checks on completed jobs to ensure all site paperwork is completed and standard protocols followed.
- Able to interact with customers and represent the company in a professional manner.
Experience:
- 3-5 years of experience managing low voltage or integration jobs from project start until completion
- Knowledgeable on all aspects of low voltage security requirements regarding infrastructure, trim as well as all technical aspects of the integration and installation
- Ability to successfully handle multiple projects, prioritize responsibilities and execute in a growing and challenging fast paced environment
- Project management experience required
- Detail oriented and able to work independently or in a team environment
- Very strong written and verbal communication skills. Communicate heavily with both internal and external customers
- Ability to travel to customer locations. Travel required 80% of the time.
Qualifications:
· Must have at least three years of experience in the Security Installation industry. Management experience is required.
· A College Degree is preferred; however, a High School diploma or equivalent is required along with adequate experience
· Must possess strong Customer Service and interpersonal skills.
· Must possess strong verbal and written communication skills.
· Must be able and willing to work within a team environment.
· Must have a valid Alabama driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record that meets CRV Surveillance insurance company requirements.
· Being on time is critical due to the need to perform sound tests prior to building arrivals.
Education and/or Experience:
- High School Graduate or GED is required for all CRV Surveillance positions
- Technical or college degree in related field preferred
- Three to five years related experience preferred
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Must have knowledge of fire and electrical codes to ensure safe and proper installation of alarm systems and devices.
- Proficiency using test equipment to included sensitivity test equipment, multi-meters, battery analyzers, sound level meters, and communication devices.
- Need good understanding of IP networks and be highly proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and other relevant software.
- Must have a personable and professional appearance.
- Must be able to travel, as needed.
- Must be familiar with various types of receivers.
- Strong customer service focus/skills are a must.
- Must be detail-oriented and able to handle multiple tasks.
- Must be capable of handling challenging and stressful situations without decreasing productivity.
- Must have the ability to deal effectively with people at all levels of the organization and with external customers.
- Must have mathematical skills including the ability to calculate figures and amounts such as interest, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume along with the ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
- Must have reasoning skills including the ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
- Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
