Crunch Pak is Hiring a PRODUCT R&D SPECIALIST Near Cashmere, WA

This position is responsible for coordinating activities related to product research & development.

Reports To: Director of Technical Services

Supervise R&D projects and initiatives by:

· Documenting R&D project plans and protocols in accordance with company product objectives.

· Executing product testing protocols in cooperation with maintenance, production, and quality control as necessary.

· Documenting and recording data and observations related to product testing.

· Reporting findings, observations, limitations, and opportunities to operations management.

· Assist with process R&D projects as needed.

Qualifications:

· Ability to read, analyze, and interpret written instruction. Ability to present information and respond to questions.

· Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

· Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

· Ability to interpret and develop an extensive variety of instructions, both oral and written.

Requirements:

· Identify Process improvements.

· Effective use of company time seeks out duties to ensure you are consistently productive.

· Strong Independent thinking with ability to proactively identify problems and provide solution suggestions.

· Requires very minimal supervision to perform project tasks.

· Able to advise management of policy violations.

· Identify and Support Process Improvements.

· Willing to adapt work schedule to company needs.

· Complete understanding of the processes and the global effects of process deviation.

· Ability to effectively train other employees.

· Must have highly effective organizational skills.

· Able to work under pressure.

· Must be highly professional in all forms of communication skills.

· Able to assess and report on training effectiveness.

· Assist in assigning work.

· Ability to act as a key point person for Director of Technical Services.

· Affirmatively and effectively support company/managements decisions.

Education/Training/Experience:

· 2 or more years’ experience and/or training in research & development.

· Bachelors Degree in Food Science or a related field of study strongly desired.

· Prior experience in a quality department preferred but not required.

· Education or experience in dietetics, food and nutrition, or a related field preferred but not required.

· Strong Computer skills with proficiency in Outlook, Excel, and Word.

· Must have valid Washington State Driver's license for driving company vehicles.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $23.50 - $30.00 per hour
