Service Technician - Waste Water Division

Monday – Friday - First Shift– Occasional Weekends

The ideal candidate will be able to perform Light Service on Septic Tanks – Changing out Aeration Pumps and Filters. The work is relatively local to Valley City and the surrounding areas, but much of the job will consist of driving a company vehicle from the shop to the customer and back to the shop several times per day, as the work dictates.

This is an ENTRY LEVEL POSITION – On-The-Job training is included, and you will earn more as you learn more! Experience withplumbing, electrical, mechanical knowledge of small motors, pumps, engines will make you a strong candidate for this position!

Progressive Pay Scale Based on Experience.

$17/hr to start, over $20/hr after 60 days with more room for growth as you progress!

Pay Rate can start $20 for experienced candidates.

Overtime Available – Upon completion of training - 5-10 hours of OT per week at 1.5x!

Essential Functions

• Performs maintenance and repair on residential and commercial septic pumps systems, control systems and aeration systems
• Performs preventative and predictive maintenance
• Safe operation of company owned vehicle
• Reporting all MOV and field safety concerns to management
• Act as company customer service representative when needed which includes but not limited to sales transactions and communicating customer concerns
• Willingness to learn septic and pump systems
• Willingness to develop new skills and progress current skills
• Willingness to assist other departments as needed

Minimum Qualifications

• Basic experience in but not limited to aerators, float switches, alarm systems, risers, check valves and 110V-230V control panels is preferred but not required
• Basic electrical knowledge preferred but not required
• Basic plumbing knowledge preferred but not required
• Experience in customer service-related support a plus
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to manage multiple operations at once
• Proficient in basic computer software and capacity to learn new systems
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Clean Driving Record – less than 2 points on Valid license
• Must receive Hepatitis B vaccine
• High School Diploma

Must be 21 years or older

• Construction environment, seasonal weather conditions
• Due to the nature of the operation, the levels of noise, dust and dirt can be high.
• Must be able to lift up to 65 lbs., on occasion
• Must be able to stand for extended periods of time
• Must be able to squat, crawl and kneel to complete tasks

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $22.00 per hour
