Job Title: Logistics Tech

Summary:
Logistics Tech operates in a fast-paced environment, engaging in repetitive bench or line assembly operations to assemble automotive seat units or sub-assemblies. The role involves working with various parts and details, adhering to specific tolerances controlled by jigs and fixtures.
Duties (not limited to):
* Assist in shipping and receiving functions
* Coordinate work and material flow
* Aid in shipment schedules
* Collaborate with department supervisors to track progress and completion times
* Compile reports on work progress and inventory levels
* Verify accuracy of incoming/outgoing shipments
* Prepare documents (work orders, bills of lading, shipping orders)
* Monitor production flow and handle materials as required
* Package finished products for shipment
* Rotate through tasks in the production process
* Ensure adherence to 5-S standards
* Track parts and scrap using electronic systems
* Follow logistics/shipping & receiving processes and procedures
* Write production reports if needed
* Perform monthly inventory counts
* Manage stock quantities vs. inventory system
* Maintain customer and internal packaging instructions
* Adhere to Quality policy, ISO/TS16949, EHS policy, and company SOPs
* Follow anti-mutilation policy
* Other duties as assigned
Technical Skills and Work Experience:
* Experience in material/product movement of automotive components
* Utilize various lifts and devices
* 1 year of material management/shipping & receiving experience preferred
* Good problem-solving skills
* Proficient in math, reading, and writing
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills
* Computer skills, including PDA and warehouse management systems
Physical Demands/Working Conditions:
* Heavy walking and standing throughout the shift
* Bending at the knees and waist
* Lift and push up to 80 pounds regularly
* Use hands for typing, handling objects, equipment, tools, and paperwork
* Raise arms overhead for work, reaching, and carrying
* Use close vision, peripheral vision, and focus
* Wear safety Personal Protective Equipment
* Willingness to travel for training if required
* Ability to work overtime and/or weekends
* Ability to work a fixed or rotating schedule
