Job Title: Safety Administrator

Location: Cedar Rapids, IA (3750 16th Ave SW, Cedar Rapids, IA 52404)

Job Summary: As a Safety Administrator, you’ll play a pivotal role in ensuring our compliance with Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administrator (FMCSA) regulations, contributing to a dynamic and safety-focused environment where your expertise is key to our success.

Compensation: $17.00/hr. Starting Wages (Pay Bi-Weekly) *A final amount is dependent on factors including prior relevant experience, knowledge, and location. Typically, selected candidates are hired at a rate between the minimum and midpoint of the range. For roles that are commission or bonus-eligible, your recruiter can share more details regarding the specifics of these positions. 

Job Schedule: Monday-Friday (7:30 AM-4:30 PM or 8:00 AM-5:00 PM)

Day in the Job Preview: As a Safety Administrator, your role revolves around ensuring driver applications comply with FMCSA regulations, acting as a liaison between teams, understanding CSA violations, and completing various assigned tasks. Your contributions are crucial to maintaining a safety-focused environment and continuous improvement. 

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

• Understanding CRST driver hiring guidelines and ensuring applications are compliant with FMCSA regulations.
• Reviewing and auditing pre-hire documents to ensure a post-hire compliant Driver Qualification File (DQF).
• Act as a safety liaison between terminals, training, recruiting, and operations personnel.
• Understanding CSA violations regarding hiring compliance.
• Other various tasks as assigned.

Job Requirements:

• Successful completion of a CRST background check and drug screen is required.
• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Moderate technical aptitude is highly preferred.
• Customer service-focused mind is preferred.
• Strong communication skills are highly preferred.
• 6-12 months of transportation experience is preferred.
