CRS Reprocessing Services is Hiring a Process Control Technician Near Jeffersonville, IN

Position Title: Vacation Relief Technician

Headquartered in Jeffersonville, IN, CRS Reprocessing is a global leader in providing on-site reprocessing services in several market niches. Current operations include facilities located across the United States, Europe and Japan. This full-time position will initially provide operations support for a new pilot plant located in Indianapolis, IN. The operations support for this pilot plant is scheduled to last for 3 months and will transition into a Vacation Relief Process Control Technician. This position will provide vacation relief support for the U.S. sites.

Job Description:

Vacation Relief/Operations support

  • Operate and maintain the processing equipment to meet the production demands of the customer.
  • Monitor and respond to the Processing Unit condition changes.
  • Help troubleshoot and solve any operational problems related to quality, process equipment, controls, electrical and computer.
  • Plan, schedule, and perform all maintenance needed to maintain processing equipment in a safe and efficient operating condition.
  • Input production data to system computers and maintain all lab equipment (if present).
  • Perform all laboratory tests necessary to provide a quality product and maintain the specification designated by the customer.
  • Record and report daily all production, quality, lab and operating data.
  • Advise management of requirements to maintain sufficient spare parts for reliable operation of the processing equipment.
  • Attend customer training seminars as designated. Any training requiring travel away from the customer's immediate area will receive a suitable replacement from client during those periods.
  • Provide guidance, as required, to customer as needed to improve CRS equipment and or operations.
  • Maintain good communication with designated customer representatives.
  • Perform required inspections and tests of processing equipment.
  • Provide information for reports as required for local, state, and federal authorities as required.

· Travel to sites to help perform maintenance activities as needed.

· Support pilot scale trials for prospective customers.

· Technician will be on call during the scheduled pilot plant operation or vacation relief support.

· Support installation of equipment at new customer sites.

· When not travelling, work from the Jeffersonville headquarters. Work will include operating processing equipment, trial new customer materials, rebuild equipment (pumps, valves), and help fabricate small processing skids.

· Maintain technical competence in mechanical, electrical, control, computer, environmental, and OSHA fields, as applicable.

· Perform other specific tasks that can be assigned from time to time.

· Follow all applicable Procedures and Work Instructions so as to comply with the CRS quality system.

· Participate in the documentation or modification of work instructions for activities which are not fully covered, or need to be amended, where these have been identified by informal review or by formal internal audit to ensure compliance with CRS quality standards.

· Take action to identify and prevent problems related to products, processes and the quality system.

· Recommend and initiate solutions through designated channels and follow up to verify the implementation and effectiveness of corrective and preventive actions.

Skills Required:

· Mechanical and/or electrical maintenance experience.

· Equipment operations experience.

Experience and Education Required/Preferred:

· High School diploma required.

· Technical degree (associate or higher) is helpful, but not necessary.

· Three years experience in maintenance or production preferred.

Travel is required at least 60% of the time.
