Job Overview
- Identifies the pathophysiology of cardiovascular disease and uses this information to plan appropriate nursing care.
- Identifies the physiologic changes induced by cardiothoracic surgery and uses this information to plan appropriate nursing care.
- Performs a comprehensive cardiovascular assessment.
- Develops and institutes a teaching plan for the patient, and the family, suffering cardiovascular disease.
- Responds to Code 99 alerts in accordance with established policies and procedures.
- Provides cardiac teaching at the professional and community level.
