What’s the role?

As a Senior Data Scientist, you will play a critical role in developing Crownpeak machine learning techniques and data processing components. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in machine learning techniques and algorithms, working on assignments that include moderately complex areas of the product.

What will you do?

• Select features, build and optimize classifiers using machine learning techniques
• Develop the current models and provide suggestions for new models to be created
• Perform ad-hoc analysis and present results in a clear manner where necessary
• Conduct research on the status of machine learning on various domains (NLP, Visual computation...) to be applied within Crownpeak
• Act as a role model for other team members and interact effectively with other functional teams
• Occasionally act as task supervisor, capable to investigate and resolve most issues
• Proactively support members of the team with their tasks and mentor less experienced team members
• Document and test their own work and review the documentation and testing of junior team members
• Take part and contribute to knowledge sharing sessions with the immediate and other teams

Who are you?

• Expert knowledge of machine learning techniques and algorithms
• Expertise in deep learning theory, recommendation engine, search engine, computer vision, natural language processing, reinforcement learning, self-supervised learning, and optimisation theory
• Experience with common data science toolkits and data visualisation tools
• Proficient in using data query languages
• Expert with Python
• Experienced with no-SQL databases and software development standards, processes and tooling
• Experience in open source models and LLMs
• Strong quantitative skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
