Essex Hotel Management is currently seeking a DRIVEN Housekeeping Room Inspector for the Crowne Plaza Lake Placid located in Lake Placid, NY.

Pay:

• Starting at $22.00, based on previous experience

What will I be doing?

• Supervise and train Housekeeping staff.
• Visually inspect guest rooms and corridors for cleanliness and appearance.
• Train new and current employees on the use of chemicals for different surfaces.
• Ensure that both carts and supply closets are kept clean, neat, and stocked according to housekeeping guidelines.
• Assist in the scheduling of staff according to forecasted occupancy.
• Guide staff to ensure that guest service and safety is our top priority.
• Report all deficiencies in guest rooms and corridors to the maintenance department.
• Evaluate condition of furniture, fixtures, décor, etc., make recommendations and assist in the coordinating of rehab projects.
• Assist room attendants and house persons in securing all supplies and tools necessary for the completion of their jobs and be ready to step in and support them as needed to ensure efficient operation.
• Maintain inventory of amenities, chemicals and other supplies to ensure standards are met, and reorder such in a timely manner.
• Maintain security of keys.
• Work collaboratively with other departments, such as Front Desk and Maintenance departments.
• Coordinate with laundry to ensure linen is picked up and delivered to meet hotel needs.
• Fill in and support employees as needed to ensure efficient operation.
• Resolve guest’s complaints and answer questions regarding rooms and common areas.
• Attend meetings/training as required by management.
• Perform duties, special assignments and projects as requested by management.
