Job Description
Responsibilities : Identify and pick finished goods for shipping as designated by pick lists or work orders. Items must be picked and then visually verified for accuracy relating to part number, quantity, product finishes, and / or order numbers.
Process goods for shipping via ground or LTL services utilizing shipping computer system and software.Maintains inventory of shipping materials and supplies.
Maintains Shipping records, including providing tracking or shipping history informationStage loading and unloading areas with appropriate equipment, materials and space.
Prepare, package, document outgoing materials.Build skids of goods for truck shipment. Tasks include selecting sequence that the goods are stacked and choosing the appropriate packing materials (.
Wrap and strap, skid packs, crates, in order to assure material is delivered in good condition to its final destination.
Compares identifying information and counts, weighs, or measures items of incoming and outgoing shipments to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other records.
Attaches identifying information and shipping instructions onto crates or containers.Operates machinery to move, convey, or hoist shipments from shipping and receiving platform to storage or work areaPreforms analysis on inventory movement and bill of materials to insure accurate inventory
