Crown Staffing is seeking a CAD/CAM Designer associate for a tool and die manufacturing company located in Mount Prospect, IL. The ideal CAD/CAM Designer must be able to design precise technical drawings and machining instructions to ensure the accurate and efficient production of the products.

Shift is Monday-Friday 7am-3:30pm $28-30hr plus OT when needed

Responsibilities for CAD/CAM Designer:

• Utilize CAD software to create detailed 2D and 3D designs for steel stamp engravings, cookie, cracker, and snack food dies according to customer specifications.
• Program CNC machines using CAM software to generate tool paths for machining operations.
• Collaborate with the engineering team to ensure designs meet manufacturing requirements and standards
• Troubleshoot and resolve any technical issues related to CAD/CAM software or CNC machines.
• Stay updated on advancements in CAD/CAM technology and incorporate best practices into daily workflow

Qualifications for CAD/CAM Designer:

• Proficiency in CAD/CAM software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Mastercam) with demonstrated experience in creating complex 2D and 3D models.
• Strong understanding of machining processes and principles, including CNC programming and toolpath optimization.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications accurately. 4. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with a focus on delivering high-quality designs
• Prior experience in the tool and die industry or related manufacturing field is preferred
• Associate degree or certification in Mechanical Engineering Technology, Computer- Aided Design, or a related field is a plus.
