Division Overview:

Crown’s Beverage Division manufactures a variety of packaging solutions for soft drinks, craft beers, coffees and teas as well as new energy drinks. Location:

Crown has built a brand new manufacturing facility in Bowling Green, KY. This state-of-the-art facility manufactures specialty beverage cans for some of the top consumer product companies. We are in the process of adding to our world class team of individuals to operate this facility and are looking for Preventative Maintenance and Repair Technician.

Duties And Responsibilities:

This position includes reviewing key indicators effecting quality & production (excessive spoilage & low production etc) with shift Supervisor and prioritizing maintenance, inspecting and resolving any issue with can quality, participating in production meetings, assisting Back End and/or Front End Coordinator & PM&R Supervisor with coordinating conversion teams and suggest corrective actions to reduce overall conversion time, assist mechanics with production/equipment issues, walk the production line looking for potential maintenance items to prevent machine malfunction or repair equipment accordingly. This equipment could include cuppers, bodymakers, printers, washers, spray equipment, Necker’s, compressors, conveyors, vacuum pumps, RTO and flangers as well as other production machinery. The Ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge of the conveyance and how it works. A strong mechanical and fabrication background is required.

Qualifications: Requirements for this position include but are not limited to the following:

Minimum Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years experience working in a manufacturing or similar setting
• Strong proven working experience in preventative maintenance, troubleshooting skills and equipment re-build expertise are required
• Experience in using controls and settings on high-speed automated equipment
• High competency in the use of micrometers, calipers, and related equipment
• Strong math and computer skills
• Strong mechanical skills
• Strong welding and fabrication skills
• Experience with conveyor systems in a high-speed plant is a must
• Effective and proven communication skills working in a team environment
• Ability to work 12 hour shifts, both days and nights

Preferred Requirements

• An Associates/technical degree is preferred or a related vocational/technical certification (state electrical license, journeyman license, etc.).
• Working experience in a high-speed manufacturing environment is preferred.

Physical Requirements

• While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, use hands, reach with hands and arms, and may be required to balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
• The associate may lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision and ability to adjust focus

Working Conditions

• Generally works in a plant environment
• While performing the duties of this job, the associate may be exposed to moving mechanical parts and vehicular traffic
• The associate may be exposed to a wide range of temperatures
• The noise level is frequently loud
