Job Description

Crown is seeking a Software Developer/Architect to support EIDS (Enterprise-Information Display System) with the Leidos team. The candidate will primarily be responsible for:

• Design and develop robust and scalable software solutions using Java and Spring Boot
• Build and maintain RESTful APIs and web services
• Containerize applications using Docker and deploy them in an AWS cloud-based environment
• Utilize AWS services, such as EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, and others, to architect and develop cloud-native applications
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze requirements, and implement solutions accordingly
• Ensure code quality through proper testing and debugging practices
• Perform code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members
• Utilize Git for version control and maintain a well-organized repository of code
• Collaborate with the team using Jira and Confluence for project management and documentation

This position will be hybrid with some travel to Leidos RIO location in Rockville, Maryland.

Qualifications

• 5-12 years of proven experience as a software developer, preferably in Java-based development projects
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is required
• Experience in Kubernetes is required
• Strong proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, and RESTful API development
• Experience with Docker and containerization techniques
• Proficiency in version control using Git
• Familiarity with project management tools like Jira and Confluence
• Solid understanding of software development principles and best practices
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Experience with AWS services and architectures, including EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, and others
• Knowledge of Node.js, Python, or other modern programming languages is a plus
