**Bakery Mixer Technician**

**(Pastry, Cinnamon Roll & Croissant Bakery)**

**COMPANY OVERVIEW**

**JOB SUMMARY**

Mixers are accountable for meeting strict timelines to ensure the freshest product possible while adhering to recipes already set in place. Mixers adhere to all Food Safety guidelines, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) . They are responsible for mixing approved ingredients to create a mixture specific to company standards and specifications. Mixers operate equipment and machinery in a safe and efficient manner.

**ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**

* Operate assigned machinery in a safe and efficient manner.

* Combine raw materials in the appropriate sequence and sign off that each ingredient has been added and processed for the correct amount of time as outlined in the mixing system.

* Rotate mixed ingredients back and forth to the line being served.

* Keep line supplied with ingredients and maintain pace set by the Oven Leader.

* Complete and deliver all batch forms (Formula Sheet) to the production leaders.

* Organize & sanitize assigned work area, tools and supplies.

* Assist in the training of mixing area helpers and / or assistant mixers.

* Follow all GMP's and Safety Procedures as outlined by Masada Bakery.

* Performs other duties as requested by Production Manager.

* Flexible on work schedule and Overtime as needed.

* Verify that all batches are produced on your shift.

**FOOD SAFETY RESPONSIBILITIES:**

* Follow all GMP's, Food Defense, and quality policies

* Ensures all GMP and all food hygiene and safety standards are in compliance

* Report all food safety incidents such as GMP violations, ingredient and product contamination, metal detector, screen or magnet deviancies', glass breakage, and pest harborage.

**QUALIFICATIONS**

* High School Diploma or Equivalent.

* Must be flexible with schedule, including start times and weekend work.

* Drive for Results, Process Management, Integrity & Trust, Conflict Management, and Time Management.

* Must be able to work in a team environment as well as work independently.

**PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS**

* Work in a noisy environment for length of shift.

* Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.

* Reach above shoulder height.

* Able to bend, twist, stand, climb stairs/ladders, push/pull, and walk for the length of shift.

**WORK ENVIRONMENT**

* Work in a noisy environment.

* Work in an enclosed indoor area.

* Work in wet and/or humid conditions.

* Work in cold or hot environments.

* Workaround machinery.
