Job Overview:
Crown & Anchor is a neighborhood watering hole that has been in business for over 36 years. Our small team is looking to add some entry level hires to round out the schedule and join us into the future.

We are a "start with the basics" sort of establishment. ALL hires begin as food runners and/or bar backs. Progression is based on performance, and leads to more training, opening more options to add shifts to your schedule that are compensated at a higher rate. New hires that embrace what we do and perform highly can theoretically be trained as barback/runner, kitchen staff, and bartender within the span of a month if they are the bees knees!

We do work on a set schedule, and coordinate schedule requests through an online platform. Ultimately, shifts that are on the schedule are the responsibility of the person scheduled.

We are open 365 days a year, 11a-2a. Kitchen is open until midnight every day as well. This includes all holidays.....well, all days in general! We don't close unless absolutely necessary, usually in response to a major safety issue facing the staff and/or the community.

We do offer employee discounts on food and draft beer. Shift meal each time that you work. You can come and hang, have some beers on days off or after your shift. Flexible scheduling with the proper lead time, we want you to have the time off that you want off, but we still have to staff the bar.

Looking for motivated, hardworking, positive individuals that are looking for something for the long haul and to progress upward and onward. We will ideally have new hires trained in ALL positions within the first 4-6 months of employment. Solid candidates have done all this training in 1 month from hire in the past, we will move as fast as you can move. Show us what you got.

$16.00/hr for both training and barback/runner. In addition, 5% of the tips earned during your shift will be alloted to you. This will increase total hourly compensation well over $20/hr. The busier we are, the more we all make! Specifics about the compensation for the higher level positions will occur during in person interviews.

-experience is always a plus, however the right candidate may perhaps have no food service experience, it's simply in their genes!

-ability to work late nights, 3am-ish and later some nights.

-weekend availability....We are a bar, we work on the weekends!
