Job Description:

Consulting Enterprise Risk Management & Quality Director

The Enterprise Risk Management & Quality Director is responsible for managing and transforming the Consulting Business Unit's Quality & Risk Management Team, under the oversight of the Consulting Quality & Risk Management Leader/Partner. Primary responsibilities of this position include:

Enterprise Risk Oversight

  • ERM
    • Identify and assess enterprise risk for the Consulting BU, with periodic updates/refresh (anticipated at least annually); align top residual risk exposure with BU Leadership
    • Coordinate and advise on actions to take and owners to address key risks identified by the practice and follow up to confirm planned actions are implemented.
    • Monitor action implementation and provide regular updates.
  • Foster strong relationships with Firmwide Risk Management and key firmwide risk owners, and liaise with such firmwide functions, including, but not limited to:
    • Ethics and Independence
    • Firmwide Risk Management
    • Information Security
    • Legal
    • National Office
    • Privacy
    • Quality
  • Educate the practice on key risk issues.
  • Review, obtain approvals, and communicate Consulting BU policies and procedures, including the Consulting Playbook
  • Manage the Consulting Q&RM team.
  • Identify opportunities and provide insights to more effectively manage our risks and create efficiencies in our risk management processes.
  • Serve as a career coach to support direct reports to be successful in their roles and their professional development.

Contracting

  • Work with Legal to increase partner and client satisfaction with our contracting process.
  • Assist partners during the negotiation process by reviewing contracting issues and suggesting a course of action.
  • Continuously seek process improvements and/or significant transformations and work with Legal to implement.
  • Advise Consulting partners on risk mitigation practices for high-risk contracts.
  • Create and share resources, education, and best practices with the Consulting BU

Quality Assurance

  • Provide oversight for the BU's quality assurance program.
  • Work with practice leaders to address quality issues identified.
  • Support Quality Assistant Directory with efforts to educate the practice on quality issues and share best practices.

Third Party Risk Management

  • Oversee process for facilitating and completing client (or prospective client) questionnaire responses regarding the Firm's internal processes and controls.
  • Seek process improvement and transformation opportunities and work with Consulting BU and Firmwide functions to implement.
