REQUIREMENTS: ALL Applicants must be:

• Additional Requirements for Craftworkers:
  • Must have own transportation to and from jobsite every work day (driver's license not required)
  • Must provide own hand tools (excluding power tools)
  • May be expected to travel where the project requires (multi-state opportunities)

Primary function of a Structural Leadman: Supervise the raising, placing, and uniting of structural members to form complete structures or structure frameworks. Lead employees by example.

Typical Duties include and are not limited to:

• Set up hoisting equipment and rigging for raising structural members using cables, chains, or wire rope.
• Proficient with all hand signals and have leadership knowledge of crane functions.
• Align rivet/bolt holes in member using corresponding holes in previous placed member with iron working hand tools.
• Perform or supervise the cutting and welding of members to make alterations in beams.
• Capable of forming and placing concrete.
• Assist in driving piles or sheeting.

Skills, Knowledge, Qualifications & Experience:

• Must strive continuously to build knowledge and skill level by listening and getting clarification from managers and clients.
• Must follow policies and procedures and support Crowder Construction Company’s goals and value system by consistently being on time and following instructions and responding to managements directions.
• Must be committed to long hours when necessary to reach goals and increase productivity for the client and still observe safety procedures and report potentially unsafe conditions.
• Worker will use shop math to solve problems when necessary and able to supervise journeyman and helpers.
