Ultrasound Technologist Responsibilities:

• Properly prepares patient for exam through accurate verification of patient history and reason for referral.
• Thoroughly analyzes the information or previous test results to clarify the information requested by the ultrasound examination.
• Confidently selects the suitable equipment to produce the best quality exam, i.e. which machine to use, as well as proper selection of transducer array and frequency.
• Competently performs diagnostic quality exams with the ability to accurately image, label, measure, demonstrate normal/abnormal anatomy, and record data pertinent to the exam.
• Diligently performs portable Sonography at bedside when required.
• Prepares test results for analysis in an organized and timely manner.

Qualifications

Required:

• Bachelor’s Degree or certificate from accredited Sonography program or graduate of a diagnostic medical Sonography program accredited by the AMA committee on Allied Health Education and Accreditation
• RDMS Mandatory or eligible to sit for boards upon hire date.
  • If not registered already, candidate must complete designation within 1 year of hire.

Hourly Rate Range:

$33.27 - $60.57/hour
