Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Facilities Technician to join our team. As a Facilities Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing various systems and equipment within our facilities. This is a hands-on role that requires a strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to work independently.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, including electrical and mechanical repairs
- Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with HVAC systems, plumbing, and electrical systems
- Conduct regular inspections to identify potential maintenance needs
- Respond promptly to repair requests and prioritize tasks based on urgency
- Utilize computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) to track work orders and document completed tasks
- Fabricate and weld components as needed for repairs or improvements
- Maintain inventory of supplies and equipment necessary for facility maintenance
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a safe working environment
Experience:
- Proven experience in facilities maintenance or a related field
- Strong knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical systems
- Proficient in using CMMS software for work order management
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and blueprints
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot issues effectively
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate professionally with staff and vendors
- Leadership skills to oversee projects and coordinate with other team members
