Provides quality Level 1 Substance Use Disorder Services and Intensive Outpatient Services (Level 2.1) through a strengths-based approach to clients, in support of the client abstaining from substance abuse, adapting to life situations, seeking recovery, participating in treatment groups, seeking and maintaining employment, and preventing or reducing inpatient treatment stays.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. This position requires occasional evening and weekend hours, as needed.
Travel
Travel is primarily local, with some travel to satellite offices in the seven-county catchment area.
Required Education and Experience
Master’s Degree from an accredited school of social work, counseling, or psychology.
Preferred Education and Experience
A minimum of one-year work experience in the substance abuse treatment field. LCAC licensure.
Licensure/Certification
Licensure as a master level clinician and addiction counselor (LMAC) with the Kansas Behavioral Sciences Regulatory Board. LCAC licensure is preferred.
Additional Eligibility Qualifications
Ability to work with persons with alcohol or illegal drug addictions; ability to work independently and as a member of a therapeutic team; ability to work with persons with severe emotional disturbance and/or severe and persistent mental illness; possess demonstrated interpersonal skills and ability to react effectively in a variety of human service situations; possess prior computer experience in Microsoft Office programs and basic computer fluency.
