Job Title: Cook

Reports To: Director of Food Services

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt (Hourly)

Position Summary: The Cook is responsible for maintaining a safe and healthy kitchen and preparing healthy, nutritional meals for guests, clients, and staff.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Prepare meals in accordance with instruction from the Director of Food Services.
• Follow daily menus provided by the Director of Food Services.
• Serve meals to clients, guests, and staff.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and healthy work area.
• Has working knowledge of and participates in Department of Health inspections.
• Operate cash register including sales, debits, paid-outs, and closeout balances.
• Possess a current Food Handlers Card.
• Perform other duties, as required.

Qualifications:

• 1 to 3 months related experience, and/or training preferred.
• Provide strong leadership qualities as well as problem solving skill
• CPR/First Aid training and have a negative TB test.
• Demonstrated strong organizational skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively at multiple levels, both verbal and written.
• Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.

• While performing job duties, the employee is regularly required to sit and speak or hear.
